Koh Phangan Information:

Even Koh Pha-ngan was initially explored by travelers a mere twenty years ago, the island was actually inhabited for more than 2000 years ago by sea gypsies originating from the Malayan Peninsula. The island was then targeted by chinese refugees coming from the chinese province Hainan fleeing the economic hardship in their country. Located in the Gulf of Thailand Phangan is the next island to the popular tourist destination of Samui Island which more than 1.5 million holiday seekers every year.
